Crafting a Giant Oak Wood Spoon + Secret Recipe Finishing Oil

IMPORTANT!: If you plan to use this spoon for food, be careful not to use any chemicals. The wood must be untreated, and the finishing products must be natural and food-safe.

If you want to know more about the tools I use, I’ll leave the links below in the description. If you don’t have many tools or are on a budget, I’ll give you an alternative in the description below.

In the video, I use oak; it’s a very hard, durable, but difficult to work with wood. If you’re a beginner, it’s better to use a softer wood. Make sure the wood isn’t treated with chemicals if you plan to use it in your dishes.
To cut the spoon, if you don’t have a scroll saw, you can use a simple jigsaw. For finishing, I use a Dremel 4000 to speed things up, but you can also use a simple wood file and various grits of sandpaper.

For finishing, I mix one part natural beeswax to three parts walnut oil. (I prefer walnut oil, but you can use any vegetable oil that’s safe for human consumption.)
