Work Begins on a Wood Duck 12 Kayak, S4-E2
1 min read
The stitch and glue process is a easy and productive way to build a kayak. In this episode of The Art of Boat Building, boat builder Bob Emser begins work on a Chesapeake Light Craft kit, the Wood Duck 12. Using copper wires to stitch together the precut panels the hull of the boat quickly emerges. Tips on sanding, beveling, bending and clamping and more are reveled.
“If you’re going to make it, make it beautiful.”
Bob Emser
