Lightning 17 Build: Deck Stain and Fiberglass

This is the third video in the Lightning 17 build series. In this video we stain the deck with aniline dye and fiberglass the deck to the hull. It is best to add water to the aniline dye stain so that we can build the desired tint and opacity of stain. Stain right out of the container is often too dark for the desired design since epoxy will also increase its depth. Clear laminating epoxy is applied through 4 ounce fiberglass e-glass and prepared for varnish.
