#shorts Fiberglassing and Strongbacking a Canoe Hull #fiberglass #epoxy #diy #repair #canoe

This canoe came in very aged and damaged so stations and forms had to be installed to straighten the old fiberglass hull. There were holes put in the hull due to sandblasting to remove the gel coat so the hull needed a lot of patches before any repairs could be done. General purpose polyester resin was used for patching the holes to save some cost, once we begin the structural work we must use West System Epoxy for high strength and durability. Pour in place foam is used to fill the keels before the fiberglass football is installed. Once the hull interior is fiberglassed we are ready to install new foam ribs to support the hull.
